Gee Photography
I have been photographing for over twenty years and have worked as a professional photographer for about fifteen years. I am passionate about photography and capturing the essence of an occasion in a way that freezes your moment in time. I have been described as a lover of people and this comes across in my work. I am a firm believer that each person has inherent beauty that can be captured with the right angle, the right mood, and the right direction. I have often been asked if I use models in my wedding work but I have never needed to do this as each wedding has in my experience yielded stunning shots of the couples involved.
I firmly believe that the artwork in a home should reflect those who live there and the people and things they love and to that end all my photographs are taken and individually hand finished in such a way that they can be hung as art, mounted in albums or reproduced in coffee table books. After many years honing my skills in my darkroom I have an in depth understanding of the photographic process and have been able to transfer this knowledge and experience into my digital work with pleasing results. I work in colour and black and white and am constantly developing the finishes available on the work to offer my clients an individual and stylish finished product. The albums and coffee table books I offer are ideal for the reportage style of work and will provide you with lasting moments of sweet reminiscence - to be enjoyed over a good bottle of wine!
Experience has shown me that a relaxed reportage style of wedding photography suits the contemporary couple, my particular interpretation of this style enables me to move unobtrusively through the wedding party capturing the natural interactions and excitement of the day. Formal shots are important to many couples, therefore during the final consultation we discuss and document your requirements.
